Visualizing Research: Effective Science Communication at OPTEXC

PhD life at OPTEXC extends far beyond dedicated lab work and the iterative process of drafting manuscripts. A core pillar of our comprehensive training programme is empowering our Early Career Researchers (ECRs) to communicate their findings effectively to diverse audiences.

On April 28, 2026, our doctoral researchers participated in an interactive workshop on „Effective Visual Communication of Science—The Seyens Method“ with Dr. Jernej Zupanc. The session introduced the Seyens Method as a strategic design process specifically tailored for visualizing scientific data.

Moving beyond theory, the workshop followed a hands-on approach. Participants applied these design principles directly to their own work, refining their visual communication skills to increase the clarity, reach, and impact of their research.
