Invited Speaker Series: Prof. Dr. Alf Mews Visits OPTEXC at the University of Bayreuth

As part of our Invited Speaker and Tutorial Series, Prof. Dr. Alf Mews (University of Hamburg) visited the University of Bayreuth for a double feature. He kicked off the day with a tutorial on the history of the 2023 Nobel Prize in Chemistry and the discovery of quantum dots.

In his subsequent lunch talk, he shared expert insights into tuning electron-phonon coupling in semiconductor nanorod heterostructures. Beyond the lectures, these personal exchanges continue to be vital for building strong research ties and inspiring our ECRs and PIs alike.
